Mr Cecil John McArthur (dec) of Mirranatwa, Hamilton and late of Winchelsea was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to the community of the Western District. He was involved in a through a range of services including sporting and health organisations. He died on 28 March 2009 with his medal presented to his daughter Jan Drayton on 8th June 2009.
