The Dunkeld Museum is pleased to be accepting pre-publication orders for James Affleck's new book "Settling amongst the Red Gums in the shadow of Mount Sturgeon".
Settling Amongst the Red Gums in the Shadow of Mount Sturgeon is a compilation of stories of the soldier settler families in the area of Dunkeld, Victoria who sent their children to Dunkeld State School from 1949 onward. It includes individual listings and stories on each of the three settlement areas. The work also includes a brief history of Dunkeld up to the time of Soldier Settlement, and a Timeline from the time of Major Mitchell's travels through Australia Felix, up to the present day.
Payment
Once you have completed the checkout, you can make your payment via direct deposit to our bank account. Account details will be shown on the final page of the checkout process, and will be included in the invoice which will be emailed to you.
If you intend to collect your book/s in person (rather than delivery by post), to assist our volunteers please print out and bring along your emailed invoice.
